The device is expected to debut with a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display (466x466 resolution) and a 646mAh battery, potentially extending its lifespan beyond the Watch 3’s 4–6 days. Powering the wearable will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC, though industry experts question the use of a four-year-old chip.

The Watch 4’s design hints at similarities to OPPO’s Watch S, with a crown interface and larger screen size compared to prior models. However, software concerns loom: OnePlus has historically delayed Wear OS updates, with the Watch 3 still running OS 5 despite expectations for OS 6 in 2026. Users fear another rollout disaster if the Watch 4 ships with outdated firmware.

While no official release date exists, the certification leak suggests a near-term launch. Analysts speculate the device could arrive “soon,” aligning with OnePlus’s teases from last year. Despite hardware improvements, the brand’s sluggish update cycle remains a red flag for buyers.
