Nothing's latest earbuds, the Ear 3a, launch with a unique 32MB of onboard storage that enables a feature called Audio Snapshot. This allows users to record ambient sound or conversations directly on the earbuds without needing their phone. Recordings are automatically synced to a companion app for playback, editing, sharing, and transcription.

Beyond ambient recording, the earbuds can also record phone calls and meetings for up to two hours, with a notification sent to other participants for privacy. The Ear 3a also includes new 12mm drivers, support for Hi-Res Audio Wireless at 24-bit/96kHz, and an upgraded 45dB wideband ANC. The transparent-style charging case is available in Black, White, Yellow, and Pink.

Priced at $99, the Nothing Ear 3a directly challenges competitors like the Google Pixel Buds 2a and Samsung Galaxy Buds FE. The inclusion of onboard storage for audio capture and call recording offers a distinct utility that could appeal to users who frequently need to document conversations or capture audio snippets on the go.
