Microsoft updated its Xbox Family Settings app for iPhone and iPad, introducing new parental control features for consoles. Parents can now set specific time limits for individual apps and games, block access to certain titles, and review requests for extended playtime.

The update also adds customized scheduling options, including weekly, weekend, and custom time blocks. These remote management tools allow parents to control Xbox access without needing to interact directly with the console. The Xbox Family Settings app is available on the App Store.

This expansion of console parental controls comes as Apple itself is reportedly overhauling its own Screen Time parental settings for iOS devices. The move suggests an increasing focus from major tech companies on providing granular, remote management tools for device usage.
