Spotify today announced a global rollout of its audiobooks section, giving users in more than 180 markets access to over 350,000 titles spanning more than 120 languages. Four years after launching audiobooks in the U.S., and following a limited expansion, the rollout begins today and will continue through the end of 2026, expanding from 22 markets to more than 180 and reaching more than 750 million people.

Users in newly supported markets will have access to more than 350,000 titles, with additional catalogs in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, and other languages. Eligible Premium subscribers in countries including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Poland, Chile, Norway, Peru, Italy, Spain, and Portugal will get 12 hours of audiobook listening each month. Spotify is also expanding Audiobooks+, an add-on for additional hours, which will be the primary access method in Africa, Asia, and Argentina.

Users can also purchase individual audiobooks. The company updated Page Match, allowing users to scan a book's ISBN barcode and enter a page number to find the corresponding audiobook point, now working in more than 30 languages. Audiobooks+ is expanding to Student plans in Ireland, Belgium, Austria, and Finland in November.

Spotify says Audiobooks+ has surpassed 1 million subscribers and generates more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Monthly audiobook listeners grew nearly 40% over the past year, and total listening hours increased by more than 30%.
