A new Sonos Play portable Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 speaker has leaked online before its official announcement. The unannounced device, described as a smaller version of the Move 2 with a carrying loop, appeared on Best Buy's Canadian website before being removed. A Reddit post by the Soro iOS app developer captured screenshots of the deleted product page.

The leaked listing showed a $399.99 CAD price tag and revealed key specs including 24-hour battery life, IP67 water resistance, AUX input, USB-C power delivery, and a wireless charging base. The product page also listed a March 31 release date for the unannounced portable speaker. This positions the new Play between Sonos's existing Roam 2 ($179 USD) and Move 2 ($499 USD) in their portable lineup.

While Apple doesn't offer a portable AirPlay 2 speaker, Sonos customers can also anticipate upcoming lock screen playback controls on iPhone later this year. The leak suggests Sonos is expanding its portable speaker lineup to capture more market share in the growing segment of wireless, multi-platform audio devices.
