OpenAI Atlas Browser Adds Multi-Account Support

OpenAI has rolled out multi-account support for its ChatGPT Atlas browser, allowing users to sign in with separate personal, work, and school accounts. This update addresses one of the most requested features since the browser's launch last year, when users noted it lacked many standard browser capabilities.

Since its debut, OpenAI has maintained a weekly release schedule, gradually adding features like improved tab organization, extension imports, tab renaming, and tab groups. While Atlas previously supported multiple profiles, it couldn't handle different ChatGPT accounts within those profiles. Product lead Adam Fry called this limitation "one of the biggest blockers to using Atlas everywhere in their life."

This enhancement brings Atlas closer to competing with established browsers by offering the flexibility users expect. The feature is available now as part of this week's update for macOS users. With this addition, OpenAI continues its rapid iteration on Atlas, aiming to make it a viable everyday browser that can handle the various contexts of modern digital life.
