There are tons of MagSafe battery variations, and I may own most of them. The new TESSAN AERO 5000 caught my eye because it’s really thin and has a titanium finish. It also uses a new battery technology to reduce heat and improve overall safety.

TESSAN built the AERO 5000 to be only 6.9 millimeters thick, roughly the thickness of three credit cards when stacked together. It is designed to fit in your pocket without feeling like you have a thick battery. Beyond the size, TESSAN used iPhone-grade titanium alloy for the battery’s back. It’s a really nice touch.

Battery-wise, TESSAN uses a pure-cobalt, semi-solid-state battery core called Solid Safe. Standard batteries typically contain highly flammable liquids, but this new structure aims to drastically reduce heat buildup and prevent thermal runaway even if the battery takes extreme physical damage. It can output up to 15 watts wirelessly or 20 watts when plugged into the USB-C port.

If you want absolute minimal weight in your everyday carry, the TESSAN AERO 5000 looks like a fantastic option. It combines a titanium finish with next-generation battery safety to keep the heat down.
