Update, October 7: Apple has now released both RCs to public beta testers as well. The build numbers are unchanged from the developer RCs.
In addition to releasing macOS 27.2 Golden Gate public beta 2, Apple is now rolling out the first Release Candidates of macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. Security updates continue for older macOS versions, as Apple skipped regular beta versions for these point updates.
Apple released macOS Sequoia 15.8.1 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.1 late last month, both seeing two RCs before official rollout. The release notes for the first RCs mention only that they "provide[s] important security fixes and [are] recommended for all users." Last month's updates contained a single Core Graphics security fix, with details about a maliciously crafted file potentially leading to arbitrary code execution.
Apple will likely detail the fixes after official release, expected alongside macOS 27.2 Golden Gate within weeks. The release build for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 RC 1 is 24H219, and for macOS Tahoe 26.7.2 RC 1 is 25G320.
