Lutron Caseta integrates with Sonos Voice Control

Lutron is enhancing its integration with Sonos, enabling users to control Caseta smart home devices via Sonos Voice Control. Starting now, "Hey Sonos" commands can operate connected lights and shades from voice-enabled Sonos speakers. Supported actions include turning devices on/off, adjusting brightness, raising/lowering shades, and activating Lutron scenes.

This expansion allows for two-way control. Previously, Caseta users could use a Pico remote for music control and coordinate lighting with music via Lutron scenes. Now, Sonos speakers act as a hands-free interface for Caseta devices.

Sonos Voice Control began supporting Lutron systems, including HomeWorks and Radio RA 3, on July 20. Caseta and Radio RA 2 Select were noted as coming soon. Voice commands are processed locally on compatible Sonos speakers, requiring a Lutron Smart Hub and a Sonos product with a microphone. Setup is managed through the Lutron app's Integrations section. Lutron voice commands are currently available in US English.
