Jamf named CTO Beth Tschida as chief executive, ending John Strosahl’s tenure that oversaw the firm’s shift to private ownership after Francisco Partners’ January 2026 purchase. Tschida, who joined as senior VP of engineering in 2018 and became CTO in 2022, is the first woman to lead the company. Her engineering background and reputation for scaling systems were cited as reasons for the board’s confidence.

During her CTO stint, Tschida expanded Jamf’s security suite until it accounted for more than 30% of revenue, positioning the firm as a key player in Apple enterprise protection. She now says AI will drive the next phase, with the company building AI‑driven management features that let devices self‑administer within defined guardrails and opening the platform to third‑party developers.

Francisco Partners’ Brian Decker praised Tschida’s technical depth and operational discipline, noting the firm can now pursue AI initiatives without quarterly earnings pressure. With private backing, Jamf can layer new services atop its MDM core, aiming to redefine device management for enterprises that rely on Apple hardware. The appointment marks a decisive shift toward autonomous, AI‑enhanced administration.
