An iPhone 17 Pro has remarkably survived an accidental fall from an airplane, with its owner finding the device "pristine" upon recovery. Heather Cline was a passenger on a flight in Saskatchewan when her iPhone, which had been in a case, was reportedly sucked out by the airstream and fell 1.1 kilometers (approximately 2/3 of a mile) from the aircraft.

Despite the extreme drop, the couple was able to track the iPhone using the Find My app. They located the device face-up in a canola field, astonishingly undamaged. This incident serves as an unexpected testament to the durability claims made by Apple for its latest models.

While this account highlights impressive hardware resilience, it's worth noting that other users have reported damage from much shorter falls. Nevertheless, Cline's experience underscores the robust build quality of Apple's iPhones, even under the most unusual circumstances.
