Apple has released iPadOS 26.3, its latest software update for iPad devices. The update brings a modest set of new features alongside essential security patches and performance improvements. This follows Apple's typical pattern of releasing lighter updates early in the year.

iPadOS 26.3 introduces a new privacy setting called 'Limit Precise Location' exclusively for M5 iPad Pro models with cellular connectivity. This feature requires Apple's C1X modem and restricts how much location data cellular networks can access, providing neighborhood-level rather than street-level precision. The update also reorganizes the wallpaper gallery, splitting 'Weather & Astronomy' into separate categories with new options.

Beyond these visible changes, Apple's release notes simply state the update provides "important bug fixes and security updates." The company typically uses these early-year updates to address issues before rolling out major feature additions. iPadOS 26.4 is expected with more substantial improvements, including enhanced Siri AI capabilities. Users can download iPadOS 26.3 now through Settings > General > Software Update.
