The iOS 26.4 beta 1 initially applied this older iOS 18 design only to the App Store app, leading to speculation about whether it was a bug or intentional. However, beta 2 extends these changes to the Apple Games app as well, suggesting Apple is deliberately rolling back the interface modifications.

With two apps now using the iOS 18 search layout, Apple appears to be standardizing this design across its ecosystem before the public release.
