Apple's next premium smartwatch is getting a substantial overhaul. According to Digitimes, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 arriving in the second half of 2026 will feature a complete redesign alongside significant sensor upgrades. This marks the first major update to Apple's most feature-packed wearable since the Ultra line debuted.

The redesign could drive shipments 20-30% higher than last year's model, market analysts predict. The sensor improvements will benefit Taiwan-Asia Semiconductor (TASC), which has been Apple's exclusive supplier for these components. Large-volume orders are expected to begin as early as July, coinciding with the traditional peak season for device launches.

The timing aligns with broader Ultra expansion rumors. Apple is reportedly planning an iPhone Ultra, MacBook Ultra, and possibly AirPods Ultra this year, suggesting a concerted push to position the Ultra branding across its product lineup as a premium tier.
