Apple Watch Series 12 improves core components for watchOS, health, fitness, and AI. It comes in 42mm and 46mm, with new Dark Bronze aluminum and Ceramic (Pearl White, Night Blue). Aluminum models add Ceramic Shield 2. Cases are slightly taller: 42mm is 37mm (up from 36mm); 46mm is 40mm (up from 39mm). Screen size is unchanged, so bezels are bigger.

The new S11 chip powers exclusive health and AI features. RAM doubles to 4GB from 2GB. A new Health Sensing System includes a second-generation electrical heart sensor and always-on optical heart sensor for high-frequency background heart rate tracking. HRV is measured up to 24 times more often, with new Recovery HRV and more accurate step tracking.

Exclusive software includes Audio Intelligence: Siri Recap, Live Rewind, Shazam, and Sound Recognition. A new Readiness app analyzes activity, training load, vitals, and sleep score. Some features arrive in a software update in late 2026.
