Apple Stores Prepping Major Changes for Home Product Launches

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing significant retail store changes this fall for upcoming Home product launches. The company plans to rearrange sections of the Apple Store and add accessory bays to showcase new devices. At minimum, a refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K are expected, but the scale of retail modifications suggests a third, more significant product: Apple's long-anticipated smart home hub with a display.

This hub, rumored to feature a 7-inch square display, would come in two versions — one with a built-in speaker and another with magnets for wall mounting. It will run a new OS with home screen widgets, support FaceTime calls, serve as a smart home accessory hub, and include an A18 chip. The new Apple TV 4K may also debut with a refreshed Siri Remote.

These products have faced years of delays largely due to Apple's Siri revamp. With that work now complete, the fall lineup appears poised to arrive together, potentially unveiled at Apple's September keynote.
