Google's Gemini AI app has reached 750 million monthly active users, according to the latest earnings report. This surge demonstrates the rapid rise of AI chatbots in consumer markets. The company's expansion into the AI sector has been a key driver of growth, with Gemini quickly becoming a major player in a competitive market dominated by OpenAI's ChatGPT.

This growth follows the launch of Gemini 3, the company's most advanced model. Google is also pushing affordable options like Google AI Plus, priced at $7.99 per month. The company’s continued investment in the AI division is a key factor. Alphabet's overall financial performance has also been strong, surpassing $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time.

CEO Sundar Pichai noted that Gemini 3 was a positive driver for growth and that the focus is on both free and subscription tiers. While Gemini trails ChatGPT's estimated 810 million users, it has surpassed Meta AI's nearly 500 million. Google's development of its AI accelerator chip, Ironwood, also signals its competitive intent against Nvidia.
