Autoforma is reimagining the Volvo P1800ES with a restomod treatment that blends vintage charm with modern performance. The Dutch firm plans to produce just five examples of this iconic Swedish shooting brake, transforming the classic long-roof coupe with contemporary upgrades while preserving its distinctive silhouette.

Originally produced from 1961 to 1973, the P1800 gained fame as Roger Moore's car in the British television series *The Saint*. Beyond its pop culture status, the model earned a reputation for exceptional reliability, holding the record for highest mileage at over 3 million miles. Autoforma's vision includes widened carbon fiber wheel arches, updated lighting, custom bumpers, and larger multi-spoke rally wheels.

The restomod will feature a modern turbocharged five-cylinder engine transplanted from a newer Volvo model, along with modernized steering, suspension geometry, transmission, and braking systems. The project remains in conceptual stages with digital renderings, but Autoforma intends to bring it to production. With a projected price of approximately $354,770 for each of the five examples, this exclusive restomod represents a significant investment in automotive heritage.
