The body of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a 22-year-old UC Berkeley graduate student from Karnataka, India, was recovered Saturday from Lake Anza at Tilden Regional Park. Berkeley police reported he was last seen February 10 in the 1700 block of Dwight Way, prompting a search that ended with the discovery.

The Consulate General of India in San Francisco confirmed the recovery and is assisting the family with arrangements to return his remains to India. Sreenivasaiah was pursuing postgraduate studies at the university when he disappeared. The consulate expressed condolences and pledged to coordinate with local authorities for repatriation.
