Toyota's 2026 Crown sedan-crossover hybrid delivers a near-luxury experience without the luxury-brand price tag, positioning itself as a compelling alternative to pricier competitors. Starting at $41,440 for the base XLE trim, the Crown offers premium features like power-adjustable heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and Toyota's 12.3-inch touchscreen system.

The Crown has earned strong reviews, with J.D. Power scoring it 80/100 overall and Edmunds users rating it 4.3 out of 5. The lineup includes three main trims: XLE at $41,440, Limited at $45,950, and range-topping Platinum at $54,990. Even the top Platinum trim undercuts many entry-level luxury hybrids while delivering comparable comfort and technology.

Two hybrid powertrain options provide flexibility: a 236-horsepower system for efficiency or a turbocharged 340-horsepower setup for performance. The Crown's fuel economy is impressive, with non-turbo models achieving up to 42 mpg city and the Platinum still delivering around 30 mpg combined. Despite its strengths, the Crown remains a niche player with only about 12,000 units sold in 2025, partly due to its higher price point compared to the mainstream Camry.
