A winning Powerball ticket sold in Arkansas ended a $251 million jackpot run on March 2, resetting the prize to $20 million for the March 4 drawing. The winning numbers for Wednesday's drawing were 7, 14, 42, 47, 56, with a Powerball of 6 and a 4X Power Play multiplier.

No one matched all six numbers, so the jackpot has increased to $35 million with a $16.5 million cash value ahead of the March 7 drawing. The game, which began in 1992, has produced nearly 200 jackpot winners across 45 participating U.S. states, with Indiana, Missouri, and Minnesota among the most successful.

Powerball drawings occur three times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. Tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional $1 Power Play add-on that can multiply non-jackpot winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million, while overall odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 24.9.
