Mecklenburg County Commissioner Yvette Townsend Ingram (D) has an outstanding arrest warrant from the Gaston County Sheriff's Office, court records reveal. The warrant stems from her 2024 DWI arrest while campaigning for the Mecklenburg County commission seat. Ingram pleaded guilty to the original charges and was ordered to complete 24 hours of community service within 60 days.

However, court records show a separate 'Order for Arrest' was issued last February for 'failure to comply with community service.' Messages to Ingram's campaign and commissioner office went unanswered. The Gaston County Sheriff's Office declined to comment. Ingram is currently running for re-election as one of 10 candidates for the Mecklenburg County Commission At-Large seat.
