A fire at the Koch Foods Plant B in Fairfield, Ohio, injured two workers and left one person unaccounted for early Sunday morning. The blaze, reported around 3:30 a.m. at 630 Commerce Center Drive, prompted authorities to issue a two-mile shelter-in-place order for nearby residents.

Fairfield Fire Chief Thomas Lakamp reported that a roof collapse complicated firefighting efforts, preventing crews from entering the facility. Two injured workers were transported to local hospitals and have since been released, according to officials. The shelter-in-place order was lifted by 7:41 a.m. after air quality tests showed no hazardous materials.

The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns at industrial food processing facilities. Koch Foods, one of the nation's largest poultry producers, operates multiple plants across the United States. Local authorities continue investigating the cause of the fire, while the company has not yet commented on production impacts or potential financial losses from the incident.
