Mt. Baker Ski Area in Washington leads with a 108-inch base depth, maintaining its reputation for deepest snow in the country despite a slow start to the season. The Pacific Northwest resort has accumulated 348 inches of total snowfall this year, with its Heather Meadows base reading 108 inches and Pan Dome at 176 inches.

Grand Targhee in Wyoming follows closely with an 89-inch base, benefiting from its high elevation and colder temperatures that have helped preserve snowpack. The resort has recorded 258 inches of snow this season, slightly less than neighboring Jackson Hole but with better snow retention. Utah's Wasatch resorts show strong numbers, with Snowbird and Alta both sporting 89- and 86-inch bases respectively.

California's Mammoth Mountain stands out with a 76-inch base and ambitious plans to stay open until at least Memorial Day, thanks to seven feet of snow this month alone. The resort's high elevation and wind patterns help snow stick around longer than other California locations. White Pass in Washington rounds out the top five with an 86-inch base after receiving 260 inches of total snowfall this season.
