China will allow visa-free travel for UK citizens staying under 30 days, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced during his Beijing visit. The move is tied to a broader partnership deal aimed at expanding British service sector access to the Chinese market.

The change addresses long-standing barriers that businesses say have limited their growth in China. British exports to China already total £13 billion annually in services, with demand rising. A new feasibility study may lead to a full bilateral services agreement.
