This statement comes after U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer announced last week that investigations under Section 301 would continue, targeting China and Brazil among others. These probes could potentially lead to additional tariffs if unfair trading practices are identified. The Chinese government expressed hope that Washington would recognize the agreement's implementation rather than pursuing further restrictive measures.

Beijing emphasized its willingness to engage through existing economic and trade consultation mechanisms while warning it would defend its rights if the U.S. proceeds with new investigations and tariffs.
