The ride‑hailing company’s revenue climbed 12% to $14.19 billion in the second quarter, according to Uber Technologies. The growth was driven by its expanding delivery business, which continues to see higher volumes and more active users.

Despite the revenue uptick, Uber issued a cautious outlook for the current quarter. For the three months ending Sept. 30, the company forecast adjusted earnings of 84 cents to 88 cents a share, slightly below analyst expectations of 87 cents.

Gross bookings are projected to fall between $58.25 billion and $60.25 billion, versus Wall Street models that estimated $59.33 billion. The guidance signals that while delivery growth is robust, overall profitability remains a concern.

The core ride‑hailing segment saw modest gains, but the company’s margins were pressured by higher driver incentives and regulatory costs. Uber’s focus remains on scaling its delivery platform while managing costs, as the company navigates a competitive landscape and evolving consumer demand.
