Tesla Sales Rebound in Europe After Slump

Tesla achieved its first European sales increase in over a year, with February registrations climbing nearly 12% to 17,664 units across major European markets. The rebound came as the broader battery-electric vehicle market in Europe grew nearly 16% during the same period. In the EU alone, Tesla sales jumped 29% from a year earlier.

This turnaround marks a significant shift for Elon Musk's electric vehicle company, which has faced intense competition from Chinese auto giant BYD in the European market. The sales recovery suggests Tesla may be regaining momentum after a prolonged slump that had raised questions about its market position in Europe's crucial EV sector.

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association reported the figures, highlighting Tesla's resilience in a competitive landscape where Chinese manufacturers have been gaining ground. The sales increase provides a much-needed boost for Tesla as it navigates challenges in multiple markets while BYD continues its aggressive expansion in Europe.
