Stryker's Q2 Profit and Revenue Rise Post-Cyberattack

Stryker has reported a significant increase in both profit and revenue for the second quarter, marking a recovery from a cyberattack in March. The medical technology company announced a profit of $1.28 billion, or $3.30 per share, a substantial rise from the $884 million, or $2.29 per share, recorded in the same period last year. Excluding certain one-time items, Stryker's adjusted earnings per share reached $3.69, surpassing the $3.49 expected by analysts.

Sales for the quarter climbed to $6.59 billion, up from $6.02 billion a year prior, and narrowly exceeded analyst expectations of $6.58 billion. The company saw strong performance across its divisions, with Med Surg and Neurotechnology sales increasing by 9.7%. The orthopaedics unit also demonstrated robust growth, reporting a 9.1% rise in sales.
