SLB reported a 5% increase in second‑quarter revenue, reaching $8.97 billion. The rise was driven by stronger offshore activity and robust demand for its fast‑growing data‑center services, which helped offset ongoing disruptions in the Middle East.

The oilfield‑services firm, formerly Schlumberger, posted a profit of $786 million, or 52 cents per share. This represents a decline from a year‑ago profit of $1.01 billion and 74 cents per share. Adjusted earnings, after stripping out one‑time items, were 55 cents per share, surpassing analysts’ expectation of 51 cents.

Revenue exceeded Wall Street models, which projected $8.67 billion. The company’s ability to leverage its diversified service portfolio and capitalize on emerging data‑center opportunities has been pivotal in maintaining growth momentum despite regional challenges.

Overall, SLB’s performance highlights the resilience of its core operations and the growing importance of data‑center infrastructure in the energy sector.
