Sherwin-Williams has raised its annual outlook following a robust second quarter marked by increased profit and sales. The paint manufacturer gained market share and implemented price increases, contributing to its improved financial performance.

CEO Heidi Petz highlighted the company's ability to outperform the market despite global uncertainties and stagnant demand. She attributed sales growth to strategic investments, securing new accounts, and deepening existing customer relationships. "We also implemented pricing actions to offset raw material inflation that pressured our gross margin in the quarter," Petz stated.

The company now anticipates full-year net sales to increase in the mid- to high-single-digit percent range. This revised forecast surpasses its previous expectation of low- to mid-single-digit sales growth. This upward revision reflects Sherwin-Williams' successful strategies in a challenging economic environment.
