Sanofi Raises 2026 Guidance as New CEO Revamps Pipeline

Sanofi raised its full-year guidance Thursday after sales jumped 18% at constant currency in the first half, driven by Dupixent and recently launched drugs. The French drugmaker now expects 2026 sales to grow around 10% excluding currency changes, with business earnings per share rising slightly faster.

The upgrade comes less than two months after Belen Garijo became CEO, tasked with preparing the company for the future as the patent expiration of its top moneymaker Dupixent—an anti-inflammatory drug jointly developed with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals—looms. Sanofi had previously anticipated high single-digit percentage sales growth and business EPS ahead of that.

Garijo said she is working on a plan to revamp the pipeline. The guidance increase reflects confidence in current portfolio momentum while the new leadership addresses long-term challenges.
