Renault reaffirmed its full-year outlook, reporting revenue growth and indicating that cost-cutting measures are proving effective. The company announced a profit of 705 million euros ($803 million) for the first half of the year, a significant turnaround from a loss in the same period last year, which was impacted by a markdown of its stake in Nissan Motor.

Excluding that specific charge, Renault would have reported a profit of approximately EUR500 million. Overall revenue increased by 9.5% to EUR30.25 billion. Automotive revenue saw a rise of 9.3% to EUR26.8 billion, and revenue from Mobilize Financial Services grew by 11% to EUR3.4 billion.

These results surpassed analyst expectations, who had forecast a profit of EUR670.7 million on EUR29.55 billion in revenue. The company's performance suggests its strategic initiatives are yielding positive financial outcomes.
