Kuehne + Nagel Raises Earnings Guidance on Air Logistics Strength

Kuehne + Nagel on Thursday raised its full-year recurring earnings before interest and taxes guidance range to between 1.35 billion and 1.55 billion Swiss francs ($1.66 billion-$1.90 billion). In April, the company had raised its recurring EBIT guidance to between 1.25 billion and 1.4 billion francs, up from its previous lower-end forecast of 1.2 billion francs. In the second quarter, net profit rose to 276 million francs from 252 million francs in the same period the prior year, on revenue that rose to 6.62 billion francs from 6.15 billion francs.

Analysts had expected net profit at 252.5 million francs in revenue of 6.2 billion francs, according to estimates provided by Visible Alpha. Revenue in sea logistics fell 2% in the quarter to 2.17 billion francs, while revenue in air logistics jumped 20% to 2.24 billion francs.
