J.B. Hunt Transport Services announced a second-quarter profit of $181 million, or $1.91 a share, a significant increase from $128.6 million, or $1.31 a share, in the same period last year. The logistics company's revenue also saw substantial growth, reaching $3.5 billion, up from $2.93 billion a year prior.

This positive financial performance was attributed to revenue increases across almost all of J.B. Hunt's business segments. The company's results surpassed analyst expectations, who had forecast a profit of $1.74 a share on $3.26 billion in revenue.

The strong quarter indicates robust demand and successful operations for J.B. Hunt in the current market.
