Honda Motor reported first‑quarter net profit more than doubled to 450.9 billion yen (≈$2.86 billion), beating analysts’ ¥208.2 billion estimate.

Revenue climbed 13.5% to ¥6.062 trillion. Operating profit from the motorcycle business rose, helped by stronger sales in India and Brazil.

The car division’s results improved because a weaker yen lifts overseas earnings when converted back to yen. Honda raised its 2027 guidance, projecting an 11% revenue rise to ¥24.150 trillion and net profit of ¥400 billion, up from earlier forecasts kiss of ¥23.150 trillion and ¥260 billion.

The company is also sharpening its hybrid‑EV lineup to support future profitability.
