Frontier Airlines is set to roll out Starlink Wi-Fi on its planes, marking the carrier’s first foray into in‑flight internet.

The budget airline announced that the new service will launch early next year, and that Starlink will also provide connectivity for pilots, flight attendants, maintenance crews, and ground operations to boost operational performance and customer service.

Starlink, operated by Space X and founded by Elon Musk, is rapidly becoming the industry’s dominant in‑flight internet provider, with carriers such as United Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Alaska Air Group already installing the system. Most of these airlines offer the service free of charge, while Frontier has not yet disclosed whether it will charge passengers.

Passengers will access the new Wi‑Fi via a system managed directly by Starlink, positioning Frontier to attract customers willing to pay for premium travel amenities.
