Cisco Q4 Profit Rises on AI Orders

Cisco Systems reported a higher profit in the fiscal fourth quarter as the company continued to receive billions of dollars in orders from artificial-intelligence hyperscalers. The network-equipment company on Wednesday reported a profit of $3.86 billion, or 97 cents a share, in the quarter ended July 25. That compares with a profit of $2.55 billion, or 64 cents a share, a year earlier.

Stripping out certain one-time items, adjusted earnings were $1.22 a share, compared with the $1.17 a share analysts were expecting, according to FactSet. Revenue grew to $17.25 billion, up from $14.67 billion a year prior. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting $16.84 billion.
