Medical-device maker Boston Scientific reported a cyberattack that triggered a global outage of key operational technology, disrupting order processing and shipping. The company said it does not know when operations will be restored. Boston Scientific detected the attack Tuesday, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The incident has caused, and is expected to continue to cause, disruptions and limitations of access to certain information systems and business applications that support aspects of the company’s operations. Boston Scientific reported $20 billion in revenue in 2025. A spokeswoman for the company declined to add anything beyond the SEC filing.

The cyberattack has led to a drop in the company’s stock price as investors react to the operational uncertainty.
