Wade Foster, CEO and co-founder of Zapier, encourages public messaging, noting that AI agents perform better with more context. He set up a friendly competition among executives, with his CMO reaching 98% public messaging usage.

At Zapier, meeting recordings are saved and uploaded to Slack, creating a rich data stream for AI. However, privacy concerns arise as employees may not realize their messages could be used for AI model training. Mathijs De Vaan, associate professor at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, warns that public messaging could stifle free brainstorming and reduce private communication space.
