Barratt Redrow Boosts Pretax Profit, Launches £386m Buyback

Barratt Redrow reported a pretax profit rise as it sold 17,667 homes during the fiscal year ended June 28, up from 16,826 the previous year. The builder, listed in London, achieved an average sale price of 352,000 pounds, compared with 344,200 pounds a year earlier.

Adjusted pretax profit for fiscal 2026 is expected to be 559.5 million pounds, aligning with market forecasts and surpassing the 488.3 million pounds recorded in 2025. The company had previously guided for 17,200‑17,800 home sales for the year.

In addition to the profit lift, Barratt Redrow announced a share buyback program of approximately £386 million (about $517 million). The initiative reflects confidence in the firm’s financial outlook and aims to return value to shareholders.

The announcement underscores the company’s steady demand for homes and its commitment to shareholder returns amid a resilient market.
