ASM International, a Dutch chip-equipment supplier, has raised its sales outlook, anticipating revenue to surpass its previous 2027 target of $4.21 billion to $5.23 billion. The company projects that next year's sales growth will exceed earlier expectations, driven by the escalating demand for chips essential for artificial-intelligence infrastructure and new consumer devices.

ASM International, which provides wafer processing equipment for thin-film deposition to chip manufacturers, had previously set a 2027 revenue goal of 3.7 billion to 4.6 billion euros. The company announced on Tuesday that it now expects to exceed the upper limit of this range next year. This optimistic forecast is attributed to strong order intake in the first half of the year, anticipated continued robust bookings in the second half, and clear visibility into customer capacity expansion plans to meet growing chip demand.

In the second quarter, ASM International reported sales of 1 billion euros, a 24% increase year-over-year at constant currencies, exceeding analyst predictions. For the current quarter, the company forecasts sales of approximately 1.10 billion euros at constant currencies.
