Abercrombie Raises Outlook After Profit Surge

Abercrombie & Fitch raised its full-year outlook after reporting higher second-quarter profit and sales. The company cited tariff refunds and strong consumer demand despite inflationary pressures. Shares surged 30% to $141.06 following the announcement.

Second-quarter sales climbed 4.8% to $1.27 billion, beating analyst estimates. Comparable sales were flat. Chief Executive Fran Horowitz noted both the Abercrombie and Hollister brands achieved record sales.

The improvement follows softer demand in EMEA last quarter due to the war in the Middle East. Sales across the namesake brand rose 8%, offsetting more tepid growth at Hollister.
