European airline stocks fell sharply as oil prices rose following recent U.S.-Iran attacks. Deutsche Lufthansa and Air France‑KLM dropped 2.7% and 3.1%, respectively, while International Consolidated Airlines Group fell 2.1% and Wizz Air slipped 3.0%. Jet2 and TUI traded 2.1% and 1.5% lower, Easy Jet was down 0.5%, and Ryanair plunged 7.2%.

The Dublin‑listed carrier reported a first‑quarter net‑profit decline, citing lower fares and fuel‑cost headwinds amid the Middle‑East conflict.

UK housebuilder shares also slipped after a Rightmove report showed July average house prices fell 1% on the month and 0.4% on the year. RBC Capital Markets analysts Anthony Codling and Oliver Dyson said the rising unsold stock supply drives price falls. Crest Nicholson shares dropped 3.5%, Taylor Wimpey fell 2.4%, and Vistry slipped 2.2%.
