Trump A.I. Super PAC to Spend $100M on Midterm Elections

A new political operation called Innovation Council Action plans to spend at least $100 million this year promoting President Trump's artificial intelligence agenda ahead of the midterms. Led by former White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich, the group will push new White House A.I. policy guidelines that seek to block state regulations.

Organized as a nonprofit but likely to launch a super PAC, Innovation Council represents a more partisan approach compared to other A.I.-backed political operations that have raised hundreds of millions in bipartisan efforts. The group has the backing of David Sacks, the administration's departing A.I. and crypto czar, who called it 'critical' to advancing the innovation agenda.

The nonprofit will target lawmakers through questionnaires to identify allies and opponents of Trump's A.I. policies. Filing as a 'dark money' organization in Utah last October, Innovation Council doesn't have to disclose donors, though any super PAC would be required to list contributors.
