The quirky birds, nicknamed timberdoodles, have drawn crowds with their distinctive bopping and shimmying movements that have gone viral on social media. Visitors flocked to the Midtown Manhattan park this week to witness the charismatic birds making a pit stop on their journey north.

Wildlife experts note that these secretive birds have become annual visitors to the park's planter beds and shrubbery, which provide urban refuge from surrounding glass skyscrapers.
