Ramtin Arablouei, co-host of NPR's "Throughline" podcast, has exited the network following a workplace investigation into his conduct. The departure comes after an employee filed a human resources complaint about inappropriate behavior and offensive remarks made during team meetings.

The investigation began in March after the employee reported Arablouei's conduct, including discussing personal details during one-on-one meetings and making inappropriate comments. According to sources, the employee claimed he described one producer as "a case for race mixing" during a meeting. NPR's lawyer confirmed many of these claims were corroborated during the investigation.

Arablouei's departure marks a significant personnel change for NPR's podcast division, which he helped build through shows like "How I Built This" and contributions to other popular programs. His exit follows a pattern of increased scrutiny of workplace conduct in media organizations.

NPR announced in April that co-host Rund Abdelfatah would take over as sole host of "Throughline," confirming the network's commitment to maintaining a respectful workplace environment.
