Bevin’s legal team praised the ruling, calling it a correction of the trial court’s “complete disregard for the law.” The case centers on whether Bevin owes child support to his 19-year-old son, Jonah, whom he and his ex-wife adopted from Ethiopia. Jonah, who has faced legal troubles and been sent to facilities under federal scrutiny, sued to intervene in the divorce proceedings, alleging neglect.
