The lone juror who voted to convict Lindsay Clancy, Michael P. Desronvil, said he had no doubts about her guilt in the killing of her three young children. He stated that based on physical evidence, witness testimony, and the prosecution’s case, he believed she knew exactly what she was doing and planned the act.

Desronvil, 48, said he was repeatedly cut off during deliberations while trying to propose theories, and some jurors accused him of refusing to follow the law. He released a statement through his lawyer, Edward Paltzik, who has represented President Trump in lawsuits against CBS News and The New York Times. The jury ultimately deadlocked 11 to 1 in favor of acquittal, leading to a mistrial after roughly 38 hours of deliberation over seven days.

Clancy, 36, admitted to strangling her children in January 2023 but her defense argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. She remains in custody at a state-run psychiatric center. Prosecutors have not decided whether to retry her.

The case has drawn national attention and renewed discussions about postpartum mental health.
