Former President Joe Biden will publish a memoir titled "Promise Me, America" on Nov. 17, two weeks after the November midterms, publisher Little, Brown and Company announced Wednesday. The book will cover his presidency, including the economy, foreign conflicts, and his decision to end his reelection bid.

Biden, who turns 84 three days after publication, said the memoir reflects on challenges faced and his faith in America's promise. The timing could concern Democrats seeking to focus campaigns on Republican President Donald Trump's record, as party divisions over Biden's legacy persist.

The memoir follows Biden's 2017 book "Promise Me, Dad" and joins recent political bestsellers like Vice President JD Vance's "Communion" and "Regime Change" by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. Biden plans a book tour and interviews, noting he is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer diagnosed in 2025.
